The Australian College of Beauty Therapy (ACBT) offers the Science of Beauty Course, which combines the code Diploma of Beauty Therapy with units in laser hair reduction. Upon successful completion, students achieve a recognised laser safety officer’s certificate and the opportunity to study further to complete supervised hours required to apply to the Radiological Counsel of WA to apply for a laser license exemption in hair removal. In WA, you cannot operate a laser with the correct laser licence exemption (Radiological Council of WA).
